There are some discussions going on, as there always are, about whether Pliny the Younger, the annual small-batch Triple IPA release from Russian River, is over-hyped.
Whether PTY is overhyped or not, I think it’s safe to say the absurd fervor over the IPA doesn’t reflect the intentions of Russian River. Time and again, the Santa [...]

What do friends and rivals do when watching sports? Bet on the game of course!
What better way to do evoke a friendly wager than with a case of beer on the line. Such was the case (no pun intended) with President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper yesterday over the outcome of the USA/Canada [...]

Have you ever pondered how much thought and care go into creating a logo to establish branding? Looks like Brooklyn Brewery cared a considerable amount which may be the reason why they hired Milton Glaser, of I ♥ NYC fame, to design their brewery logo. According to the Brooklyn Brewery blog, Milton Glaser received the [...]

Beer has been around since…well…forever and a half. America has been an established country for over 200 years. Though beer has been around a lot longer than the good ol’ USA itself, craft beer has been embraced substantially by more and more brew loving Americans every year over the past three decades. In fact, craft [...]

Fullsteam is an under-construction craft brewery in Durham, N.C., which plans to define a “distinctly southern style of beer” when it opens this year.
Something that will apparently help them make…unique beers is a truly unique piece of equipment. Meet “MIR”:
Indeed, Fullsteam’s brewhouse was going to be in space. Originally part of a scrapped space station [...]
