Beer News, Misc

Beer has been around since…well…forever and a half. America has been an established country for over 200 years. Though beer has been around a lot longer than the good ol’ USA itself, craft beer has been embraced substantially by more and more brew loving Americans every year over the past three decades. In fact, craft beer has been such a substantial part of small business and integral to American entrepreneurship, even Congress took note of it back in 2006.

And so was born American Craft Beer Week. This year, keep your calendar open from May 17-23 in observance of this Congress mandated celebration of the over 1,300 craft breweries out there that contribute to our communities (and stomachs) every day. Be sure to check out the American Craft Beer Week site for a listing of events in your area as well as upcoming beer weeks held in select cities (we’re looking at you for tomorrow, Sacramento) and become a fan on Facebook while you’re at it!
