Things are looking up and up for the craft brew industry! Earlier today, Beernews.org reported on some of the key points made at a Power Hour session put on by the Brewers Association. Among those points were references to the amount of business that has increased over 2009 and into the beginning of 2010 including double digit growth in supermarkets with Sierra Nevada Torpedo and Widmer Drifter Pale Ale helping to lead that charge.
Information Resources Inc. SVP, Dan Wandel, said that amidst a bleak year for the beer category overall, “Craft Beer success has reached epidemic proportions.”
And while you’re at it, check out the snappy vid of Hoppin’ Frog Brewery embedded in the same article. Really makes you appreciate what smaller breweries do just so we can enjoy a nice, cold one.
