Fledgling North Carolina craft brewer Lonerider Brewing Company is holding its second “Brew it Forward” homebrew competition. As part of its efforts to continue to promote the craft of home brewing as well as inspire budding professional craft brewers, the company will not only be awarding ribbons for the winning recipes, but also brewing a flight of the first-place finisher’s recipe using its professional equipment. After expenses are covered, a portion of the net proceeds gained from sales of the winning beer will be awarded to the home brewer, and any additional monies earned from the sales of the winning brew will be donated to the North Carolina Brewers Guild.
North Carolina brewmeister aspirants need to get their entries in before the March 20 deadline! More info can be found on the Lonerider site, and the awards ceremony takes place March 27.
